We didn't do a good enough job of notifying everyone of the deadline to submit candidate statements for the upcoming Arroyo Food Co-op board election. At least two strong candidates missed the deadline, even though they're going to run.
So we've extended the deadline for submissions through Thursday May 6th (this Thursday).
If you're interested in running for the board of the Co-op, then please send in a paragraph on who you are and why you're interested in helping to open our grocery store. Send it as a reply to this message. Then we'll get your name on the ballot also.

May 6th, cut-off for candidate submission statements.
May 6th board meeting, board approves ballot (with changes if necessary)
May 7th through 12th, all corrections made, ballots printed/folded/stapled/addressed
May 12th, ballots in mail
May 12th through 22nd (postmark dates), ballots can be mailed back to our PO Box
May 14th and 21st Office Hours, members can drop off ballots
May 23rd Potluck Membership Meeting, last chance to drop off ballots
