The tour itinerary is confirmed! We've got an incredible line-up planned for both Saturday and Sunday's tour stops.

Please, update your rsvp on www.meetup.com/Arroyo-Food-Co-op/ if you plan on coming or not. There are a few eager people on waiting list which I hope to include.

Ginko is preparing a more detailed map and directions sheet to send everyone next week and I will have a more detailed hand-out Friday night/Saturday morning, but in the meantime here's the list:

Joseph,

Thank you, thank you so much for organizing such a fun and informative trip to the farms and vineyards of our future co-op growers ! Your choices were perfect and so well-timed ! I was deeply moved by Shu's dedicated goal of making the soil absolutely right, and making every plant appropriate to that soil and space ( shaded by taller plants, not shaded, mixing flowers with vegetables to visually confuse the harmful insects...etc.) He is unwavering in his science, practices, and beliefs about organic growing, which are quite different from other growers. Amazing. He always came back to: taste. How do the vegetables taste ? I have so much respect for his work and practices, and it was such a treat to visit his farm and hear him talk.
Each of the wineries were astounding; their wines were fantastic ! Each farm site was a rare opportunity for me to observe how those fruits and vegetables are grown.
Apricots will happen soon !
