For those of you watching us from the sidelines, this is for you! We've been having good success at our membership efforts. Currently we're at 156 members in total. Our next push is to get over the 200 count and we have some help from new member Dan Hall. He's challenging the community to raise the membership level to this new milestone by pledging to fully invest to his $300 amount when we get there. Since his offer came in we've had four other members stand with him so we're looking at a combined pledge amount of $1,010.
We've been working to get the word out about the many benefits of a community-owned grocery store for our area - many tabling events, many presentations, lots of Coffee Shop Hops. We've seated an elected set of board members to help guide our efforts and have been building our teams to get start-up tasks done. We've already completed much of the homework necessary to establish our business. We're on our way to making this happen! Your help will be important.
